WhatsApp is already doing the first tests with its free voice calls, and the news coming from India indicates that works perfectly if used in 2G and 3G networks. For now they will continue with previous tests to the final implementation of these VoIP calls.
From the BGR website from India, they have already had to taste voice calls with WhatsApp, and as the editors of the Indian media say, the tests could not be more satisfactory, being that they believe that even work better than a conventional call from a smartphone. What is clear is that these VoIP calls work perfectly on 2G and 3G networks. They have also shown some detail more that can be seen from the interface dedicated to these calls.
As can be seen, we will be able to make calls very easily, knowing in every moment if the service is available through an icon of a phone within the chat. Also on this interface we can see all the calls we’ve made from WhatsApp, or if we have a missed call because the application will shall notify it. It also may consult other messages and do other activities while we make a VoIP call.
